Very cold!
Road has been cleared.
We woke up to this white stuff (snow) Thursday morning. It looked beautiful but I get nervous with this type of weather so we decided to head out of the NY area.
We had snow all over. We took a drive out of the park before we drove the motorhome out. The roads were cleared by the snow plow.
Entertainment at the Taj Mahal.

Beautiful plants at the entrance of the casino. Very colorful!
The lighting was so beautiful.
This is the valet parking area. Very convenient since it was cold.
Donald Trump's Taj Mahal is a beautiful casino. Manuel and I made our donation there.....as if he needed it!! Manuel did pretty good, while I just had a good time.
I took a few pictures inside the casino until I was told no photo taking was allowed....oops!
Photos of the outside.

Cluster of casinos.
After a rainy day in NYC yesterday, today was a cold day but it was very sunny. It was a good day to drive to Atlantic City, NJ to do a little gambling. Sylvia drove us there and here are a few pictures of the area and the casinos.

Day 2 Tour of NYC on the Double Decker

I better get some sleep now. Sylvia invited us to go to Atlantic City tomorrow, so we need to get up early again.....it is hard getting up so early but that is okay, we are having a lot of fun.

When we got back from NYC, this (SNOW) was on the ground. It is very windy and cold but tomorrow should be a good, clear day. We will see.
Larissa and Arianna, I found this sign. Maybe you girls and I can come to NYC one of these day, when you get older!
View of NYC from the ferry.
Statue of Liberty at a distance.

As you can see, the pictures are not very clear because it was rainy and cold. I did the best that I could......

This is Ellis Island....all immigrants that came to the U.S. came thru here first. Very interesting and a lot of history.
Today, we woke up to ice on the windshield. It was 33 degrees out but we decided not to waste the day and go into NYC. The day looked like this. Rain was coming down and it was Cooooold.
We took the ferry up to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was especially cold up on the upper deck but I was up there taking pictures along with a boat full of people.
Manuel held my place while I moved around taking pictures.
The birds.....in NYC. Photos of the Empire State Building. Soooooo tall!

Tour on the Gray Line Double Decker

This is the Tourneau....times of the country.
Another sculpture.

We had lunch at Cuchina & Co. at the Rockerfeller Plaza.

This was a display window. Thinking of you, Larissa and Arianna. Love you.

More of Grand Central Station.

This was taken at Grand Central Station. It is a huge place and really beautiful.

The breads, meats, veggies, fruits and seafood, etc are all so fresh looking. We bought a few things there.

The flowers are so colorful!

We toured the Diamond District also called Diamond City. There are diamond/jewelry stores for a couple of blocks. Note the lamp posts...There are diamond shaped lamp posts. The signs are diamond shaped, too. More of Diamond City.

Yep, this is all I could catch of the BULL from the tour bus. I wonder if this could mean something??!!! Hope the stock market gets better!
This is the Manhattan Bridge. This is taken from the tour bus.
City view from South Seaport. We took a ferry to the Statue of Liberty.

Ships at South Seaport.

Brooklyn Bridge from South Seaport.

More pictures at South Seaport.

Brooklyn Bridge and you can see a little of Manhattan Bridge.

This is China Town, a very large community. Shops go for blocks and blocks. Little Italy is right next door but I did not get any pictures there.
This is a tunnel right below the Manhattan bridge.

More NYC Buildings....
and more....

and more This sculpture was at the United Nations grounds.
This is one of the United Nations Building. They have flags from each country displayed.

This, too was another United Nations Buildings. Their grounds were just beautiful.

This is an old government building.
This is the County Building. The guide says you can come get your marriage license here and also get a divorce here! It is a beautiful building. I hope I do not bore you with these pictures but I really appreciate the architecture.

These are apartment buildings.

These are a few of the buildings around NYC. The architecture is so detailed. This building had the two buildings next to it imploded and it stands alone but they had to support it with iron beams because it started to sway. They are restoring it. Interesting, isn't it?!
Another beautiful building....

This Macy's building is where Macy's & Co. originated. They are now housed in a block long building. The store is huge and is about 8 or 9 stories high. This building has been restored and is used as an office building.

The Empire State Building from the double decker tour bus. This is the Triangle Building. It's architecture is so unique. Info on the Empire State Building......

This is an unbelievably tall building.....

This is Rockerfeller Plaza. This is where they light up the NYC Christmas Tree. Flags from every country surround the plaza, along with statues. We went up to the observation deck, which is 69th & 70th floor. It was an awesome sight from up there. I will post more pictures from this beautiful building.
The NBC News are broadcast from the Rockerfeller Center. Radio City Music Hall is right across the street. This is home of the NYC Rockettes, the kick dancers. Really neat to watch. No pictures were allowed in the building.

More statues.....

Here is the ice skating rink we always hear of on Rockerfeller Plaza. Statues are all around, so here are a few.....

We visited Rockerfeller Center. The Plaza is just beautiful.

Empire State Building.....sooooooooo tall!
Early morning in NYC.

Took the tour on the double decker......awesome taking pictures from up higher. Took a lot of them and you will see a lot of them, too.

The US Post Office is located across the street from Madison Square Garden. It is a block long; very long block, too. It is a beautiful old building. This is the second largest P O building in the world, second to Washington DC.
This is Madison Square Garden where they hold a lot of events like, boxing matches, concerts and other sports events. It is really nice.

We drove from the RV Park to Summit Train Station but had breakfast at the Summit Diner first. We are now headed to NYC for a tour.

Those of you who looked at our blog last night noticed that there was no wording with the pictures. I am having trouble publishing my blog. I am still having trouble now so I will keep trying to post a few at a time.
