Sue Didelot's Birthday!

We had a great Birthday celebration for Sue at the Playa Bonita Hotel/Restaurant. She got some flowers, margaritas and tequilla shots from our waiter. We all had a great time. Happy Birthday, Sue! May you have many more.
This is the view from the restaurant patio where we all had dinner.
This trio sang Las Mananitas (Happy Birthday) to her. And we danced.....
We walked from our RV sites to the Hotel/Restaurant and it was a nice walk. I took pictures along the way.
There were vendors along the way.....
These are all vendors standing around. Poor people, they are all trying to sell something.

This is the walkway entrance to the Hotel/Restaurant.
This is most of our group.....a couple may be missing. Earlier in the day, we had birthday cake and a couple of presents for Sue. She told me that she had such a nice birthday. She said most of her birthdays are pretty quiet days.
Mike Nicks had a couple of big boxes full of toothbrushes. I am not sure but I think he used to sell these. Anyway, he gave a lady that had a couple of kids some toothbrushes and then they all surrounded him. He just handed these to them and they were so happy. One little girl told me that she had never had a toothbrush. I felt so sorry for her so I went into our RV and got stuff I had for my granddaughters and handed them to her. They were spongebob toothpaste, hair barretts and other stuff for their hair. This was very touching for me. There was one little boy that told me, "I want something" but I told him I did not have anything for boys. We are so thankful that our children nor grandchildren have never had to go thru anything like this. These families are so poor.
The pelicans.....
This is one of the RV that was painted here. They did a great job!
We went to get some shopping done and on the way back, we were following Mike Nicks. Manuel and Richard were honking their horn at him and he got out of his truck and took out this stick! He did not know we were taking his picture! He is so very funny!
And we shop, and we shop, and we shop!

These guys are tired.....we are waiting for Sue, Mark, Lorraine and Chuck and I am taking pictures while we wait.
I just took pictures of children playing on the sidewalks as their moms work the shops. So cute. The little boy was excited after He saw that I had taken his picture.
They are having a good time.....
We went to see this RV who had this murial painted by one of the painters on the grounds here. Sue wanted to find out if he would be willing to teach her how to airbrush. She is a great artist but wants to learn airbrushing. Many motorhomes are having this type of work done.

Nice Days!

We have had nice sunny days with cool winds. We have had perfect weather while at Playa Bonita, Puerto Penasco. We are really enjoying our selves and the group is great to be with.

This is the Playa Bonita Ice Cream Man....
There are pelicans and pigeons everywhere.
We walk along the port after we did our shopping and after we ate. Beautiful area.

The local Catholic Church....
Shops and restaurants around the town....

We had lunch at the "Sr. Amigo". It was good.
I took this photo as we came down from the dining area from the 3rd floor of this restaurant.
This is where we dined. The waiter took our picture. About half of our group went fishing today. We will have a big fish fry when they return with all their catch.
Patsy, Lorraine and I take a picture in front of this Mayan Indian statue.
A view of the RV park from the downtown area.

Richard finds the perfect denim Coach purse that Lorraine was looking for......

A restaurant on stilts.....
More pelicans....
Several of the folks we are traveling with are having work done on their RVs. This lady is have major paint work done. I will try to post the after shots.....
Chuck is having touch ups done on some of the scratches....these guys are known to do very good work. We are having our RV washed and waxed on the last day we are here. We have seen the type of work they do and they do great.
This picture is compliments of Richard. This was taken while at Organ Pipe.
These two pictures are from Mark. This is the grilled fish plate Manuel had.
Another picture Mark took. Thanks, Mark. I wonder what he is laughing about.....

More of Puerto Penasco

We stand around the community site as the Boat Tour Guide tells us what to expect on these tours. Tomorrow, Friday, about 10 people will go out on the fishing tour all day. What they catch, they will bring back and cook. Those that stay, will prepare a side dish. We opted not to go since we do not fish.

On Tuesday, the day before we leave Puerto Penasco, we will have a guided sunset dinner tour. Everyone is planning to go on this trip.
Bob, Linda and Mike have a good laugh. Wonder who they are laughing about?!!! Maybe it is just the drink making them laugh....
This is the tour guide. Sounds like those who go fishing tomorrow will have a lot of fun! They are looking forward to free margaritas while they fish.....
We get ready for pot luck......
Mark and Sue pay real close attention to instructions......mark says he gets sick with motion so we will see how he does. Good luck, Mark! Sue is ready to bring fish back!

This is a church in town.
There is a couple of pelicans on the rock.....see it?
Pictures of our area from Mary's restaurant where we had lunch.
Shrimpers are out again. Hotels in the background are right next to the RV Resort area where we are camped.
Mark takes a picture of me as I take pictures of the group...silly!
