Driscoll Documentary

We drove to Corpus Christi to view the “Stolen Education” Train produced by My Nephew, Enrique Aleman, Ph.D.

When we arrived in Corpus, we met up with my youngest sister and her husband (Alma & Raul) for lunch.  My older sister  and husband (Dolores & Ray), rode with us from San Antonio.  We enjoyed our time together.

Enrique Aleman, Jr., Ph.D., Assistant VP for Student Equity & Diversity and an Associate Professor at the University of Utah.

This project that taken him a few years to produce and has been an educational and personal journey for him as his Mother, Lupe Aleman, was the first to step on to the witness stand at the age of 9 years old in this case. There were three of my sisters and three cousins testifying at a very, very young age.  Very interesting case that changed the lives of many.  His Mother, My Sister, lost her battle with cancer at the young age of 55.

Mr. Rudy Luna was Writer, Director, Cinematographer in this documentary and did a great job.

Special Thanks to both these Young Men for a job well done….Que Bien Hecho!

They have many different flavors and tons of toppings.    MMMMMMM good!

Then on we went to the campground at FT Sam.  As we pass the National Cemetery, there is a carriage drawn, flag-draped coffin.  Yet another Military Veteran being transported to the final resting place.  May they rest in peace.  So touching….

Then on to the swimming pool.  They have an awesome lap pool here.  They have the play area but there are a lot of people (soldiers) doing laps, too.

They also have super neat slides at the 12’ deep area!

That looked a little scary!   We had a great time today.  Grandpa left  the pool earlier so he could get the BBQing started.  We had burgers, hot dogs, chicken,  sausage and trimmings.   It was all great!

After the sun went down, we went to play at the playground.  I did not have my camera but we had a great time.

Visit With Cousin Arianna

On Saturday, My Niece, Rita and her daughter, Arianna came to San Antonio for a Soccer Tournament.  Arianna is playing in the Regional Tournament and did a great job.  She is a great player.  We had not seen them in a couple of years and the Girls, Lari and Ari were so happy to see her.  It was good to visit with Rita, too.

My Birthday

I am so blessed to have another blessed year.  I thank all those that called, emailed, texted, and sent cards.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and so many friends.

It was a very good year and look forward to more.

We have been pretty busy with doctors checkups, having fun, and with dealing with our builder who has made things pretty easy for us.

We count our blessings daily!

A sneak peak at the area and lot where we will have our garden home built.  We are pretty excited about this event!

A look from our lot at all the homes coming up.
