Back at Rayford Crossing RV Resort

We drove 15 miles from Country Place RV  Park in Cut N Shoot to Rayford Crossing RV Resort in Spring.  We are scheduled to have the Lone Star Allegro Rally here beginning Friday.

We have had pretty good rain while here in the Houston area.  Three days in a row it has rained pretty hard early mornings. The skies are very dark and it looks like it will poor again this afternoon.  We will see.

Got all set up, got laundry done and as we were doing that, we had some good friends come by to visit.

Phil and Gisele stopped by as they were heading home from visiting their daughter.  I took this picture from the April rally we had at Burleson, TX.  I forgot to take their picture today.  They are such good friends and welcomed their visit, even though it was a short visit.

When they left I continued with my chores.  I cleaned the coach and then we headed out to the pool...

and the hot tub.....so refreshing!

Well, we got no rain this evening but the sky sure was dark for a while.  Until next time!

Our Visit With The Srutkas

We met Bob, JoAnn and Janet last Wednesday for dinner.  Had a great time with them as usual.  Bob and JoAnn, whom we have traveled with several times, invited us to their home for dinner on Sunday afternoon.  It is always so nice to meet up with them.  Here are some pictures of our time together.

JoAnn shows me all the crafts she has been working on.  She is having a craft show in November and has done some beautiful work...

Then we go over to their neighbor, JoAnn to check out the crafts she is also working on for the craft show....

She is painting ornaments and vases...she also does beautiful work.

A view of Lake Conroe from their yard....This lake is really low with the drought we are having.

Bob is grilling halibut, frying shrimp, and hush puppies.  JoAnn baked veggies and potatoes.

This was our dinner.  Very very delicious!

After dinner, we sat and visited at the neighbors and watched the hummingbirds....

There were a bunch gathered but it was hard to catch them...so beautiful!

     

     

Manuel and Bob went out for a drive around Lake Conroe.  Sad to see how low the water is...

The water used to be up to the retaining wall seen...

Hopefully we will continue to get rain here in Houston so the levels will go back up...we are even getting rain in San Antonio.

We decided to have lunch at Ellen's Cafe.  Food was great!

Hope it rains all day and night!!  We need this rain!

Hope San Antonio is getting rain, too!   It rained for about one hour then the sun is out.

We have had a great time shopping these past two days.  Will be at this park until Monday and then will move back to Rayford Crossing for another rally.
