Mount Rushmore National Memorial

The shuttle arrived to pick us up at the FamCamp.  After driving all day, Manuel got a break and we enjoyed or trip.

From a distance Manuel took a great picture....

 

We entered the park and it was an incredible sight....

   

Manuel took close up of each face.  Now the size:  The heads are about 60 feet tall, the nose is 21 feet high,the eyes are about 11 feet wide and the mouths are 18 feet wide.

   

   

I took the Presidential Trail...

We wait for the presentation to start as it begins to get dark.

The sun has set and the clouds move in....we got a sprinkle or two.

The night show was spectacular although my camera did it no justice, it was a sight to see.

 

Oh, this is the front of a coke machine...interesting, huh?

We are tired but had a great day!  Good night all!

Rapid City, South Dakota has come beautiful country....

On our way back from Crazy Horse, we stopped here to shop and had a late lunch.....nice tourist town.

This was the place we picked for lunch....

 

Food was great so we continued our walk.....    They had live music here.

They also had "Walking Tacos"  wonder what this is....

Beautiful scenery as we continued our drive.

There are always beautiful churches along our way.

Got back to the coach to rest for a little bit then we will head out to Mount Rushmore with a tour group from the FamCamp.

Chapel in The Hills

 

This chapel is an exact replica of the famous 850 year old Bargund Church in Norway.  The wood carvings are incredible.
