Following breakfast, we will drive to SAS, San Antonio Shoe Factory.
We met up with The Guys at the park. They were all tired of all the walking and so were we but by 6 pm, we were all ready for a good dinner and it was just that, Great!
On our way to Las Palapas, we all had a reminder that April 15th is around the corner, 3 Days Left!

Another great evening with great evening with great friends.
These gardens were known as The Sunken Gardens. We enjoyed our visit here. I will post all flowers separately.

I love the way the stone looks here. A lot of hard work here.

The Guys went on to tour Lackland AFB and The Parade of Planes, Base Exchange, The Airman Museum and then had lunch at the Officers NCO Club. They met the Director of the Museum at the Parade of Planes and he invited them to visit the museum. He took their picture and he was waiting for them when they got their. They had a great day! George shared this picture.

A little history…
These little shops were homes back in the 1800s.
Fiesta is in the air…all around town. Fiesta started today with the Strawberry Festival in Poteet, TX.
Caught Channel 12 video taping for the NIOSA (Night in Old San Antonio) Days which are held here at La Villita. Next week, this place will be packed with Fiesta-goers. Glad we came today.
Steve Spriester, Anchorman for Channel 12, whom we watch nightly on KSAT 12.
This little Church is just beautiful. We have had nieces and nephews marry here.
We got hungry so we decided to have lunch here which was recommended by shop patrons.
I again asked a gentleman if he would please take our picture.
We were greeted at the door… This must be the best and only place!
The ceiling was very interesting….pictures of La Loteria, Mexican Bingo.
Another section of the ceiling had all kinds of hats, sombreros.

Back to the shops…They do not allow pictures in the shops.
They have Folklorico evening shows in the summer time at the Arneson River Theatre.
The Historic Hilton Palacio Del Rio, placed room by room, during Hemisfair 1968.
Just as we were leaving La Villita, saw where they were setting up for an afternoon wedding.
We had a very nice, relaxing day at The Shops at La Villita.
Next, we will visit The Japanese/Chinese Gardens which used to be Sunken Gardens.
