We started our day by visiting Louisa, VA which is about 7 miles from the park.
As we parked in front of the historical county courthouse, this truck was parked there, too.
Now for the Louisa County Courthouse.
This Statue was built in memory of all the Confederate soldiers who fought in The Battle of Trevilion Station. They fought over the Railroad Station.
The Louisa County Jail which is located right next to the Courthouse. In 1881, it was rebuilt after prisoners set the original on fire to escape.
This was built in the 1830 and is being restored by the Historical Society.
Another historical building built in 1917.
Downtown buildings.
On to the museum.... This was Elizabeth Sargeant's home. She donated the home as a museum.
The old school house is also a museum....
A private residence...
The old Railroad Depot....it is now a feed store.
The Trevilian Station...
We then decided to drive a couple of miles to Gordonville and have lunch. We found the Tarver House.
More beautiful churches within these two towns.
Then we headed to visit the Civil War Museum in Gordonville.
