The Girls on Spring Break 2014

The pictures I am posting are pictures that Lari is taking while they are on their Spring Vacation.  They had invited us to go on this trip with them but since we are so near in closing on our new home and the broken collar bone problems I am having we could not go.

They headed out yesterday after school and their destination is Washington D.C.  I told her to email me pictures so I could create this blog post for her and Arianna.

This morning she emailed me the first pictures from their stay at the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville, TN.  They are excited to be on this trip.  This hotel is just beautiful!  We had an opportunity to stay at this hotel, while we were in the Nashville area a few years ago, Manuel Jr. was having a conference here and we came to visit him here.

Lari says this picture was taken from the balcony of their room.  Lari sitting out in the balcony.

WWW Rally In San Marcos

Janet Lambe was nice enough to arrange for a rally to be scheduled in San Marcos so it would be easier for us to attend.  Thank You, Janet. We had 7 coaches attend:  Lambe, Esparza, Bechard, P. Roberts, Goodlett, Mason and Pettigrew.

We traveled about 50 miles from Lackland FamCamp on Sunday and will stay until the following Sunday.

Our first stop!  This is about 10 miles from the campground.  We had lunch here.

I think it was on Wednesday, we had a call from Mark Didelot.  He was camping in New Braunfels with Friends, Steve and Sandy Algier.  They are from Washington State but leave every winter for warmer weather.  They mostly stay in the Arizona area but have been here to Texas twice since we have known them.  We met them in Quartzite in 2009, I think.  We visited with them for a while one afternoon and it was really nice to see them and The Didelots.  Mark, Thank you for calling us!

Much of our time was spent in the rally room watching Janet crochet…..

Janet B., Sharon and Margaret also crocheted.

More fun at the rally…

Phil had offered to take pictures but I failed to bring camera, otherwise I know he would have taken great pictures as always.

On Saturday, Janet B. was feeling awful with nausea and vomiting and quarantined herself in her coach.  Manuel was also feeling sick with fever and chills so he stayed in most of the day, too.  Saturday night, he started with vomiting and nausea, too and we both got very little sleep.

On Sunday morning, at 6 am, we decided to leave the park and head back to Lackland FamCamp.  We are sorry we did not get to say good-bye to everyone.

We had a great Rally, Again!  Thank you for making it to San Marcos.

Until next time!
