Janet Lambe was nice enough to arrange for a rally to be scheduled in San Marcos so it would be easier for us to attend. Thank You, Janet. We had 7 coaches attend: Lambe, Esparza, Bechard, P. Roberts, Goodlett, Mason and Pettigrew.
We traveled about 50 miles from Lackland FamCamp on Sunday and will stay until the following Sunday.
Our first stop! This is about 10 miles from the campground. We had lunch here.
On The Road Again!!!
We reached our destination at about noon. The Bechards were the first ones here.
This was a very easy going rally. We just visited a lot.
G.I. Phil! Love your hat, Sir!!!
Janet had a car load of STUFF she made, so she had a trunk sale! Oh, did we have fun here! Manuel and I bought Stuff as he calls it! Awesome crochet things….. Everyone else also bought stuff. Thank you, Janet.
I think it was on Wednesday, we had a call from Mark Didelot. He was camping in New Braunfels with Friends, Steve and Sandy Algier. They are from Washington State but leave every winter for warmer weather. They mostly stay in the Arizona area but have been here to Texas twice since we have known them. We met them in Quartzite in 2009, I think. We visited with them for a while one afternoon and it was really nice to see them and The Didelots. Mark, Thank you for calling us!
Much of our time was spent in the rally room watching Janet crochet…..
Janet B., Sharon and Margaret also crocheted.
Manuel organized a breakfast cookout for one of the mornings. He and Joe cooked and everyone brought something.
Joe is a Happy Camper cooking on his new cook top.
One day after breakfast, The Roberts, Lambe, and Esparzas made a trip to The San Antonio Shoe Factory.
Everyone did their shopping…
There she is….at the ice cream stand!!!
Phil takes my picture.
The next batch of pictures will bring back memories to many. Enjoy the collection of autos here at the factory.
I remember seeing one of these ‘57 Chevy in Ed Reed’s garage!! Beautiful!
Pettigrew’s Market (Allen & Margaret???)
We sit out to enjoy our ice cream! Yummy!!!
Boy! They are really into their ice cream!!!
Okay, time to go have lunch.
We made a stop at Los Valles Mexican Restaurant.
Phil treated us all for lunch! Great food with Great Friends. Thank you, Phil!
We had live entertainment…..
We met several times for dinner but I stopped carrying my camera because my shoulder/arm was killing me with pain. I over did it taking the pictures above….NO MORE PICS! Sorry!
Manuel took these pics going to dinner at Centerpoint Station. Great Dinner!
More fun at the rally…
Phil had offered to take pictures but I failed to bring camera, otherwise I know he would have taken great pictures as always.
On Saturday, Janet B. was feeling awful with nausea and vomiting and quarantined herself in her coach. Manuel was also feeling sick with fever and chills so he stayed in most of the day, too. Saturday night, he started with vomiting and nausea, too and we both got very little sleep.
On Sunday morning, at 6 am, we decided to leave the park and head back to Lackland FamCamp. We are sorry we did not get to say good-bye to everyone.
We had a great Rally, Again! Thank you for making it to San Marcos.
Until next time!
