We traveled 12 miles from Driscoll to the King Ranch. We took the early afternoon tour….
This huge rattlesnake is what you may see a lot of here…
Our Tour Guide was great!
Our group filled the shuttle…
Their Quarter Horses are just beautiful!
Many crane are found here, too.
We spotted a bunch of deer.
The Santa Gertrudis are raised here.
The Longhorn. too.
The Quarter Horse Stables…
This Stallion is kept busy…He is just beautiful!
More cattle.
Some of the equipment used here at the ranch.
They used to have a dairy here, too.
This arena is where they used to auction off the cattle and horses but now it is only used for family functions as all the business is done over the internet.
More stables.
This used to be the King Home. It is now used as offices. It is beautiful and the grounds are just awesome.
This beautiful blue peacock just sat there as we drove by.
Cattle stables…They used the Alamo style architecture here at the ranch…
The Ranch Hand Homes….
At the end of our tour…we spotted this beautiful Longhorn. As the guys got closer to the fence, he raced to the fence. We all thought for a moment that he was going to go through this wimpy fence. That was scary. He finally settled down and posed for pictures.
Evangelho and Schuster pose with the Longhorn and the flags in the background.
Some of the group…others did not want to get this close to the Longhorn.
Some of the goings on around the Ranch…
We had a great time at the King Ranch. We have had a wonderful time with the 281st Helicopter Company Group!
We are so thankful to them for traveling from sooooo far to spend time in South Texas!
