The Girls woke up early again to take the early tour on the Washington DC Big Bus. This is a double decker tour bus.
The first stop was at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This monument is in dedication to the services of an unidentified soldier, Marine, Airman or Sailor an to the common memories of all soldiers killed in any war.
High atop the hill, you can see the mall and the Arlington National Cemetery.
Next stop was at the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC. Construction of this building was begun in 1793. President George Washington selected this area in 1791 for the building of the Capitol.
Next stop was the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
Then they visited the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. Another very interesting sight.
After the tour, on to have some dinner at this restaurant. Arianna ordered her favorite, salmon!
Today was an awesome day. The girls really enjoyed the sights of Washington DC.
Until next time!
