First thing this morning after having breakfast, we took a ride on the Ferry. Here are some pictures of our ride.
There are huge barges and ships on the Mississippi.
After the Ferry ride, we went out for a drive to the Downtown/French Quarter areas. I was not really impressed. We had been here over 30 years ago and it sure has changed. It is very congested, the streets are very narrow and it is nothing like what I remember. Seems like a lot of work is being done to clean up the last storm's mess. Anyway, here are some pictures of what we saw….
The Downtown Riverwalk area….we did not walk the area, just drove around.
Harrah’s Casino…
This Allegro Bus is having a hard time getting through these narrow streets…
This was an interesting triangular building…
A beautiful Church…could not get all of it in.
Back over the Mississippi.
Back at our safe haven…The New Orleans Naval Air Station.
Nice Blue Angel on display.
