Back at Lackland AFB

We have been at Lackland for a week now.  We have a nice shady site.

I have been trying to get a little exercise while we are here and there is a very nice place to go walk.  I try to walk for an hour at least three times a week.  The walking path along the Airplane Museum is great for this.  I really enjoy my walk.

Rockport Rally

Since Manuel was feel better, we decided to make the Demontrond Travelers Rally in Rockport, Texas.  We left on Monday the 16th and and found many of The Travelers already there.  Here are a few pictures.  Many of these are borrowed from George Franklins blog as I had not taken too many this time.  Thank you, George!

We arrived at the park at about 5:30 and Jesse is either trying to tell us we are late for dinner or that we are early for the rally.  We were supposed to arrive on Wednesday but got anxious since we knew  many of our friends were already here.  Jesse helped us park and off to dinner we went!

Meeting Ed Reed’s Cousin, Sandy

Manuel’s Military Buddy from Wyoming sent us a message letting us know that his Cousin, Sandy’s husband had passed away and told us about his Memorial Service being held at the Little Church of La Villita.  We attended and had the pleasure of meeting Sandy, a very nice Lady.

The service was very touching and they honored Joe in a great way.  He was a very giving man and helped many underprivileged young people in his life.
