Feeling Better

After having taken Manuel to the ER and the doctor prescribing 2 antibiotics, he has felt so much better.  Thank God he has felt so much better.  We decided to go to storage where the MH is housed and get some work done on it.  The batteries had been dead and he decided that they would be replaced.  He called on the mechanic who has a shop here at the storage facility and they removed and replaced all the batteries.  They were due after 7 years.  It is now ready to go.

I want to share this picture of My Family as we were growing up.  I must have been about 5 or 6 years old at the time this picture was taken.  I had 7 sisters and 1 brother.  My Dad is in the center of the picture and My Mom at the far right of the picture.  We were all born one year apart from each other.  There is one cousin who is also in this picture and he is standing right in front of Dad.

This picture was taken in Mathis, Texas, as we would go every Sunday to visit My Grandpa, My Mom’s Dad.

I am second from the left.  I thank my Sister, Mary for sharing this picture.

Day With Lari & Ari

On Saturday, we had a good breakfast and at about noon, we decided to go to a park that is really near the house.  There were several parties & reunions going on at the park. The girls had a great time at the playground.

The plants that our helper has helped us plant around the house have done great.  I told Bobby that he has a green thumb.  All the plants have prospered; none have died.

We watch the sheep graze over the fence.  We also see goats, cows, and deer.

Our time with these two little girls is so special.  Enjoyed every minute with them.

Girls Spending Night

We went to the girls school to have lunch with them and then brought them to our house to spend the night with us.

To my surprise, they would not allow me to take any pictures of the girls now.  This has changed….new rules.

Anyway, we had a delicious “Raising Canes” lunch.  The girls had requested lunch from there and it was good.

That evening, we drove a few miles to Boerne to the River Road Park for a little fishing.   Grandpa was not feeling so good today but was a real sport in helping the girls getting their rods and reels ready so they could fish.

He bought them new reels since they have outgrown their Dora and Princess rods….

While he gets them ready, we take a walk along the river trail….nice walk.

Little Toyota Gone

Manuel decided that he would sell his 1999 Toyota Tacoma.  Manuel Jr. put it online to sell and the first people that called came and bought it.  It was sad to see it go but that is what he wanted to do.

Janet Comes To Visit

Janet Lambe came to stay with us for a week.  We had a great time with her.  She is so much fun to be with.

We did not do much while she was here as Manuel was not feeling well.  We had several doctor appointments but most of the time just sat out and enjoyed each other’s company.

It was very nice having Janet here.  Thanks, Janet!
