Veterans Day!

We thank all of The Veterans today!  We are truly thankful for their service to our country.  Thank you for our freedom.

We have several Veterans among this group and WE THANK ALL of YOU!  Manuel had several calls today from family to thank him for his service.  This made his day.

We all gather at the rally room for breakfast.  Work continues on this puzzle.

We had biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, mimosas, juice, coffee and milk.

  

We took a trip to Coushatta for some gaming….

We enjoyed a buffet which Manuel got to enjoy free of charge.  It was very good.

    

We had a good time….   On our way back, we noted this cemetery which we had seen before but now, it had a lot of flags.

Another great day!  We ended the day playing games.  Will see what tomorrow brings.

Monday Evening with WWWs

We gathered at 5:30 for dinner at the Rally Room.  We honored our Veterans!

George Franklin (Navy), Manuel Esparza (USAF Retired), Marvin Peyton (Army) and Phil Roberts (USAF Retired).

We have had a great rally.  Some will leave tomorrow and we will leave on Wednesday.

Relaxing Sunday

On Sunday, we walked to the rally room.  Nice display of flags! We started the day with a continental breakfast.

We had an other good meal and great camaraderie …

Everyone did what they wanted to do today.  Some went shopping, others went to casinos and we decided to just have a nice relaxing day by the water…

It was an awesome day! 

We had pot luck in the evening…..all good!

Saturday With WWWs

Saturday was a beautiful and cool day.  Everyone went in separate directions and of course, we went over the bridge again.  We went to L’Auberge Casino.  We had fun!

We all met at the rally room for an early  pot luck and wine tasting.  Each coach brought a wine bottle to share and also a dish.  All was GOOOOOD, as always.

  

Our Hosts were Pete and Bess.  Great Job!  Thank you for your hard work!

Steve leads the group in prayer and thanksgiving.  We are truly thankful for such good times and great friends.

After dinner, it is Game Time!  We play cards while others watch the games on TV.

Our entertainment for the night was “The Men in Robes Contest”.

Pete won 1st; Ray won 2nd; George won 3rd.  The guys who participated were really good sports!

Games continued and then we called it a night kind of early! 

Will be back at 8:30 am for continental breakfast!  Until then….

Friday in Louisiana

We got together in groups this late morning and went out to visit some of the casinos in the area.

Our first stop was Delta Downs.  We had not been here before and we were not too impressed with it.

Then we headed over the bridge to Steamboat Bills for a great lunch.  Thank you, Phil for the treat!

Then we were off over the bridge to visit The Isle of Capri….

While they all went up to the casino, I stayed behind to take a few pictures.

  

   We saw a bunch of the group folks at this casino.  We had a nice time then back to the coach for some R&R.
