Easter

We celebrated Easter on Saturday.  We were invited to Norma and Frank’s, Manuel’s youngest sister.  All of Manuel’s siblings got together there except for the oldest Brother.  We had a lot of family and it is always neat to get to see Family.  Here are a few pictures….

Preparing Easter Goodies

On Friday evening, Larissa, Arianna, and I started preparing the food we would take to the Easter Event.  We prepped the Sausage, a pot of Beans, colored eggs and filled eggs for the hunt.  We made cupcakes.  We had so much fun doing this and as Lari says, “This is tradition that we do all this for Easter!”  Of course, I love this time we have together.  We have so many memories of all we do together.

We then went in to Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant to see what they had at their bakery.  Boy, did they have some goodies.  We bought a bunch of stuff and brought it home to share with Manuel.  Coffee and Pastry…..yummy!

We had an awesome day together.  Then the girls headed back to Houston as they are attending an RV Friend’s funeral tomorrow.  We were so sad to hear of his loss.  Very very sad.

Vicki and Janet Come Visit

Janet had made plans to come visit us when Vicki came down from Michigan.  We were so happy with those plans.  Then Manuel got sick with really high fevers and had to be hospitalized on Tuesday.  They came in on Thursday evening and Manuel was released on Friday so it was perfect timing.  They also came for moral support, which Janet is always at our side when we need her.  She is a great friend and can’t say enough about her Daughter, Vicki.  We loved both these girls and their families.

Anyway, Manuel and I had made plans to take them to the River Walk and it was a beautiful day.  Manuel stayed home and I took them.

As I took my camera out of my pocket to take this picture of the girls, I dropped my parking ticket and down it went into the river.  Darn, now we would have to pay the lost ticket fee!!!!  Oh well….

We were hungry so we decided to eat at Luciano’s before we took the ride on the barge.  Food was great and off we went.

As we took our seat on the boat, we notice the parking ticket floating close by but we could not reach it.  Vicki gets up and talks to the barge driver….tells him about our lost ticket and he goes along the edge of the river and reaches for the ticket.  He GOT our WET TICKET!!!!!
