Sunday, The Day After Christmas

Veronica had asked us to meet them for Brunch the day after Christmas, so we head downtown.

We had a beautiful, sunny day but pretty cold (50's).

Downtown San Antonio is quite busy with tourists....

We arrived at the Omni La Mansion Del Rio Hotel where we will eat at the Las Canarias Restaurant.

Our table is set up so since we are the first there, I take some pictures of the area.....

They are here!!!!

Veronica's sister, Diana from Corpus and her friend, Pat jointed us. 

Right out side the door, the river barges are full of people.

After brunch, we sit out in the patio. 

Lari with her aunt, Diana and Pat.

They stayed as they were going to ride the barge but we headed home as he is not feeling well.  He has a cough and either allergies or a cold.

Another blessed day. 

Christmas Day 2010

Manuel, Veronica, Larissa and Arianna came back to spend the night of Christmas Eve.  It is about midnight now and the girls are hyped up to wait for Santa.  We talked them into going to bed because Santa will not make a stop if there are lights on inside the house.   We left the porch Christmas lights on for him and went to bed at about 2 am.

At about 9 am Christmas morning, they are up and checking to see if Santa came....sure HE did!  They check the stockings first....

Oh, What Fun It Is To Watch Them!!!

     

They distribute the gifts to everyone.....

We took a short break for cereal.  We had a light breakfast and will have a big lunch!

Veronica helps me in the kitchen....

Corina, Doug, and Elijah arrive and yes, there are more gifts to open.   This is fun!!

     

Our Christmas lunch gathering was wonderful.   We had turkey, ham, dressing and all the trimmings.  Soooo Gooood!

Play time now....Lari, Ari and Mom making play dough cakes!

Others are "passing the love".  We just taught them this game and they really liked it.  Yes, the score keeper won!!

We had a very wonderful day!  We are so blessed to have this wonderful family together.

We will see what tomorrow brings.....

Week Before Christmas 2010

We have had a very eventful week.  I will post some fun stuff...spent the week with Larissa and Arianna which was just GREAT!

Manuel and Veronica came over one night and we played dominos (Mexican, International or Cajun?)  Had fun!

On Wednesday, we headed out to the Bass Pro Shop to visit with Santa Claus....

After they ate, dad ordered them a root beer float and an ice cream cookie!  What a treat!

Thursday, we made Christmas cookies....Arianna is loving this!

And they wait and wait for the cookies to come out of the oven...

All done!   They really enjoyed frosting and sprinkling the cookies.  Lari is practicing the "Snow Ghost Chocolate Pie" Story!

Janet Lambe passed this story which is a tradition in her family and Lari can now read, so she will read this to us on Christmas.

Dad took the girls home on Thursday even and they will all return to spend the night here on the 24th & 25th.  We are looking forward to that!
