Sunken Gardens & Pearl Brewery

Today was a beautiful day so I went to check out two sites that we thought would be good to take our WWW friends when they visit us in April.  We will be hosting them here in San Antonio….here are some pictures of these two places…

What we knew and visited as Sunken Gardens is now The Chinese Tea Gardens.  I think the last time I was here was about 20 years ago.

There were a few winter flowers (pansies and roses) blooming.  Hope it is better in the spring.

The ponds have a lot of fish in them, huge fish.

Then I drove a couple of miles to what used to be the Pearl Brewery.  Urban Development has moved in and made big changes, not to mention the closing of the brewery.

This was not what I was expecting to see so this will be marked off our to-do list.

I enjoyed myself today.  It was a gorgeous day and it was good to get out a little.  Manuel was not up to walking so much so he stayed home.

Until next time!
