Today, we attended my good friend, Bertha Rodriguez’s retirement reception at UT Health Science Center. She and I worked together for several years and we have kept in touch after I retired. Today was her big day. Congratulations, Bertha!
Gloria Serna came by to visit, too. It was great seeing them both today.

Back at home, we find these two Roadrunners in our back yard. I think they are a male and female, but not sure.

After we ate lunch, we went to one of the neighborhood parks. They have a nice trail which is perfect for the girl’s scooters. It is a beautiful day out…..cool and sunny!
They are ready to hit the trail and I am right behind them.

They met up with one of Lari’s schoolmates.

They have exercise equipment along the trail….Lari stops at each for a workout.

Up and down the hills….they had such a good time and so did I.
I really enjoyed the walk and wish we had some trail like this close to our house.

We sure enjoyed our time with Larissa and Arianna. We spent a few hours here and our time went by really quick. Time flies when you are having fun!

Saturday, we attended Lari’s Volleyball game. We sure could tell the improvement in Lari’s playing techniques over last year. She has been practicing at home with Dad and Sister.
Cousin Julia, Larissa and Arianna. Julia also plays volleyball and had just finished playing her game.

Of course, I had to ask the Coach for a group picture. He is a good coach. He has a goody bag for each of the players after the game.

We went to their house to pick them up after the game and off we went to eat.
More fun to come after our late lunch.

All was great! Thank you to everyone who was present at this rally. We had an awesome time!
