Lunch With Granddaughters

On Thursday, we went to have lunch with Larissa and Arianna.

Larissa came first…..

 

Teachers allow her to have two of her friends have lunch at our table. 

Arianna comes 45 minutes later. 

   

We are so happy to spend this time with them.  They have one more week of school.

What A Burger is what they like to have so that is what we brought them to eat.

It was great that Larissa’s teacher allowed her to stay through Arianna’s lunch time.

After lunch, we headed for some time together.  They had permission to leave school early.

That made us very happy!  They are happy, too!

Great Memorial Day

Today, Memorial Day, We thank ALL who gave so much for us to have the liberty we have.  We have so many family members and friends to thank.

Today, Memorial Day is also the first day we have had to rest in over a month.  It has been extremely busy with the packing and move.  Like they say “no one knows how much they have until they move”.  So true.  I started packing a while back and got rid of a lot of stuff so I thought packing would be easier.  Not so!  Still had a lot of stuff.  It is done now.  Time to rest for a while.

Anyway, I am going to try to catch up on my blogging.  I have taken a lot of pictures and will try to do it orderly….it will be a challenge but will do my very best.

Family Gathering at Sherman’s

Norma and Frank (Manuel’s youngest sister) held a family gathering on Sunday.  I only took a few pictures but we had a great time visiting with everyone.  The food was great and the kids had a ball!

Our Last Week At FM 1957

Our last week here at the house was very emotional for us.  We shed our tears and just know we will miss this place.  It was bittersweet….a lot of good times here and also a lot of work done here but we have to move on.

Charlie, our Yorkie, had an especially hard time getting used to being home and living in the coach.  Every time I let him out, he would walk all the way to the house.  I’d be looking for him and he would be at the backdoor on the porch. 

It still makes me cry….

The movers came for the last trip, got the house clean, and waited a few days before leaving.

On Thursday, May 23, 2013, we left. 

I followed Manuel out and just took a few more pics looking back.

We turned all keys over for the new owner.  It really felt strange to know we will not be back here.

Nancy found what looks like a skull!  Wonder what it is?

They are having several events here and one of them is the Women’s Fishing Competition.  They had some neat names.  Wish I had taken more of them.

They had quite a few arts and craft vendors and also food/beer.

Many fishing boats were displayed, too.

We had an awesome time in Rockport/Fulton with great Friends, George and Nancy.
