South Padre Island

These are our guardian Friendship gifts.  Janet gave us the Cross and Nancy gave us the Angel.

We Cherish these and they travel with us always.  Thank you, Janet & Nancy.

We traveled to South Padre Island, TX on Sunday morning.  We left at 8 am.

I must mention that before leaving on our trip to South Padre Island, George and Nancy helped us take a couple truck loads of boxes and all of what was left in the barn to storage.  They helped us so much, so they are ready for a few days of rest, too.  We thank them both for all of their help.  We did not intend to put them to work but they were wanting to help us while they were here.  We really appreciate their help!

Here we go South Padre Island!!

We stopped in Kingsville for coffee and lunch.  We are halfway through our 300+ mile trip.

We have had rain off and on along the way.

Back “On The Road Again”.  We are almost there.  I got a lot done on line as we traveled…

I cancelled all utilities at our home and will now have about a week to rest a little and just relax.

We are crossing the causeway from Port Isabel to South Padre Island.

This is a very nice park.  We have stayed here several times but had not been here in about 6 years.

Esparza Coach on the left & Silva Coach on the right.

We decided to have dinner at Blackbeards.  The food was great and they served a lot of food on our plates.

We saw this and wondered if the Mexican Plate would be any good at the Irish Pub so we decided against it.

We had a very good trip there.  Will take our time checking out the sights. 

Of course, after dinner, we played Sequence.  Having a great time with great friends.
