We woke up early this morning and were on the road by 7:30. Going through the desert so not much scenery except for different cacti...
It is too early for me to be up and on the road, and Charlie thinks it is just to early for him, too!
We went right over the bridge at Hoover Dam....you can't see much down there from the bridge!
The saguaro cacti are neat!
From a distance they almost look like tall people standing by the roadside...
A statue of a Bronco Rider in one of the small towns...
The University of Phoenix Stadium...
The freeway is lined with these beautiful bougainvilleas....
and these plants but don't know what they are.
Another stadium at a distance but don't know the name....
Skyline view of Phoenix...
Going through a long tunnel...
Looks like this water tank is built right on this tall rock hill....
We attended a rally with our good friends Richard King and Mark Didelot about 3 or 4 years ago which was held at the County Fairgrounds here in Casa Grande. This time, we chose to stay at a resort park which has RVs and a lot of park models. It is a really neat park. The Camp Host is coming in his cart to meet us as this is a gated community for 55+.
I was going to try out the pool this evening as it has been really hot but did not get a chance since we went into town. I think it was 109 today.
Will try it out tomorrow, looks very inviting.
Some art in front of the office...
and different kinds of cacti...
Found an In-N-Out so we ate burgers this evening.
We had a good day on the road today. Tomorrow we will celebrate Manuel's Birthday!!! He is so grateful to have another birthday. We are blessed.
Until tomorrow...
