Today, we visited the Pima Air and Space Museum, especially because we wanted to visit the 390th Memorial Museum. My Father was a part of the 390th Bombardment Group, 571st Bombardment Squadron during WWII. We had an awesome visit here.
I am sure you can imagine how many pictures I took here but these are only a few....
This museum is the third largest. The Smithsonian is first and I can not remember where the second largest is...enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed being here.
The Black Bird, SR 71 is the fast, at over 2000 mph....Imagine that! They have one of these on display at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX.
We started our tram tour. Our Guide, Tom was very knowledgeable. He was a great guide.
The B-52 flew over our house all the time....it was the noisiest as it approached landing that I have ever heard.
These are awesome retired planes....will post more.
