Elissa's Graduation Weekend

We had a fun weekend.   My sister Josie and her husband, Ram and their daughter, Beatrice and husband, Roland arrived at about 5 pm on Friday.  I had fixed dinner for them so we visited for a while then ate dinner.   After dinner, we decided to play a game of dominos, Cajun Train.  While we played, we also prepared the food for Saturday's Graduation Party.

Elissa, The Graduate, was not able to make come tonight because her husband, Gil had to work until 8 pm so they decided to drive here from Corpus in the morning.

We had fun playing Cajun Train and we played until 1 a.m.  We had to get up at 6 a.m. the next morning. 

The graduation ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m.   We made it here to the University by 10 a.m.

Elissa and Gil arrive.   They had the tickets required to attend the graduation.  It was cold and wet out and it was really cold in the auditorium.....

There were only six students from the Corpus Christi UOTIW graduating with the San Antonio group.

Elissa looks so happy....I am sure she is glad this is almost over.   She will  go on for her Masters....

Nancy came out blurry but Elissa came out clear.

Elissa will continue school and hopes to receive her Masters Degree soon.  She got her Bachelors in Business Administration/Management.   She is the Office Manager for a Physician's Office in Corpus Christi.

We are all so proud of her....

 

Elissa and Gil have been married about a month now....

We got home and we are all hungry so we prepare things....

Elissa's uncle, Toby and aunt, Minnie came down from Kingsville, TX.

Everyone has eaten and we are playing a game of cards now.....

They were watching a movie but Arianna fell asleep and Lari looks sleepy, too.

Everyone had a really enjoyable time!

We had a wonderful weekend with family.....Congratulations, Elissa!

Sunday evening, after a good nap, Manuel and I decided to go to the movies.   We chose to watch "Blind Side".  The movie got started and about 5 minutes into the movie, the manager came in and said that there was something wrong with the screen and said they would take a while to work on it.   He gave everyone 2 movie tickets and popcorn tickets and said we could go watch any movie we wanted.   We went into see "Twilight-New Moon".   It was a vampire movie and I am was not too interested in it.  Manuel also thought this was not a very good movie.  

After that movie, we went in to see "Blind Side" and we really liked that movie.   We recommend it highly.

Today, I just spent the afternoon with my mom.   She is not feeling well; she has either a cold or sinus...
