After lunch on Monday, we met at the funeral home where Mom had already made all of her arrangements years prior. She took care of everything as she did not want to worry anyone when she passed. She had every detail taken care of. Here, Carmen is applying her makeup and fixing her hair. Alma, my youngest sister watches on. Carmen is a retired beautician and has done this a lot in Brownsville, where she lives. She did a great job and Mom looked beautiful. Tomorrow, we will have the funeral services.
After all this was taken care of, we all headed to My Brother, Jesse and his wife, Berta's home in Corpus Christi. Berta's sister brought dinner and pastries for all of us.
