We started our day by having breakfast with Alicia and Mauro, Manuel's sister and her husband.
Then we headed out to Fort Sam Houston to check out the RV Park there...
The Tower of The Americas....
The Alamo Dome....
Fort Sam Chapel....
Entrance to the Army Travel Camp....
The RV Park is really nice. They have full hookups and nice big spaces....
We will probably check it out next weekend.
Then to the Fort Sam National Cemetery....
Every grave here has a red ribbon placed on it.....
These ribbons mark graves that need to have the tombstone placed...
Then we decided to visit the West Downtown area....
The Southern Pacific Train Station....
The interior architecture is just gorgeous...It is now used as an event center.
The retired Southern Pacific Train....
We had lunch at Aldaco's Mexican Restaurant....very good food...
I had a strawberry margarita....mmmmmm good!
Our view from where we were sitting.
Neat looking tile mural....Flaco Jimenez with the Accordion and Selena, Tejano singer who was gunned down by her Fan Club Manager in the 90s.
Not sure who this is....
Willie Nelson and his guitar!
What a wonderful day we had here in San Antonio today. There is much to see here that we never take the time to go out.
I told Manuel we will be visiting more area in town since we will be homebound for a while. He is anxious to get on the road
but I am trying to hold him back as long as I can...Happy Veteran's Day to all and thank you to those who served our Country.

What a wonderful way to spend an important day. I know George is envious.
