I made waffles with whip cream on Wednesday morning before heading out for the day.
We drove a couple of miles to Canyon Dam....an awesome view of the hill country from here.
We begin our walk taking pictures along the way.....
We have reached the dam gate area....
When the Canyon Dam gates are open, the water goes into the Guadalupe River.
There is a lot of tubing in this river but right now, it is kind of cool.
We begin our walk back....
We visit the Dairy Queen in the area for an early dinner, then popsicles....
Back to the sandy beach area for more fun....
While the girls get some water for their castle, these guys mess with their shells....
Lari keeps a watchful eye....
Going back to the Coach, nice sight of the marina.
and the tents....
As we get to the coach, the deer are out eating....so many of them.
I tell them to freeze so the deer will not be scared off.
They spotted us....

After a good bath, they play house. It is so simple to make it a great time for these two girls.
Another beautiful sunset. This will be our last sunset here at Canyon Lake.
Thursday morning, St. Patrick's Day, we head home.
Grandpa sets up their movie for our drive home...
We have had a wonderful time here at Ft. Sam/Canyon Lake. Now they will go spend time with Mom & Dad.
