We had a wonderful day with Family and Friends in Burleson. We woke up EARLY to be at the rally hall for breakfast from 7:30-8:30.
This is a bit early for me but I don't like to miss the meetings. We took our picture before heading out.
We had a very nice spot very close to the rally hall. Thank you, Mark & Jesse for arranging this.
The Host Team: Jim & Linda Wheeler, Ralph & JoAnn Olea, and Larry and Doni Gordon.
This team did a great job and worked very hard to feed all these folks. We had about 30 coaches attend.
Thank you for your hard work!
Gilbert & Mary Lou DeLeon also made sure everyone had a great time. Thank you, Gilbert & Mary Lou.
Mark Scherback, President, opens the meeting.... Nancy Hollis, VP, makes announcements.
LaVerne Williams, Secretary, gives her report. Shirley Parker, Treasurer, also gives her report.
Jesse Soto, WagonMaster gives update on upcoming rallies. Caroline Mason, Sunshine Lady, gives member health reports.
Larry Gordon, Sheriff, reported on fines issued and funds collected.
After the meeting, we toured the Demontrond coach on display. Nice coach!
We just hung out and got a tour of The Pettigrew Allegro Bus. (forgot to take a picture)
Fire truck rides around the park....
Manuel and Phil enjoy the sunny day....a lot to talk about.
Early afternoon, we went to my Uncle Jacob's home. My Aunt Mary and her Daughter, Kathy, also came over to visit.
We had a great visit. Tio Jake lives in Burleson and Aunt Mary & Kathy live in the Ft. Worth area.
Jake, Me, Mary, Valerie, Manuel and Kathy with one of her pups.
Valerie prepared veggie trays, fruits, dessert and lemonade, etc. It was all delicious.
Thank you, Tio Jake and Aunt Val for having us over.
Back at the RV Park by 5 p.m. and Gilbert & Mary Lou DeLeon have prepared some refreshing Margaritas. They are known for the Best Margaritas at every rally.
Mary Lou was having a great time.
Rally closing events by Mark and Jesse.....Great Job, Guys!!!
The Host Team is recognized and thanked by all with an applause.
On to play bingo. Some of us played cards.....
After games, the night was just beautiful so we gathered on the street. We made a very big circle, could not photograph the whole circle.
THEN we had a visitor!! He spoiled out good times and told us to clear the street because the fire marshall would close his park down because if there was a fire, the trucks could not get through....that was kind of dumb! If we saw a fire truck coming, we could just get up and move out of the way!
OMG, The Prez was upset!!!
So There....hope he is happy! We continued to play word games and had a great time.
We had One Rebel!!! He decided his best place to sit and enjoy his drink was on the middle of the street!!
The Prez also decides to protest the request....
Oh, Beamer, his Beagle, is under protest, too!
We decided to call it a night at 9:30. We will head home in the morning. We have had a GREAT RALLY!
