Yesterday, we begin our trip to the Good Sam Rally in Daytona, Florida. Janet will be traveling with us so we asked her to meet us at the Flying J right outside of Houston. We will be towing her car. After picking her up, and hooking up her car, we drove to Lake Charles, Louisiana. We stopped at the Isle of Capri Casino in Westlake, Louisiana.
We found that they have a very small RV area so we checked in and parked here for two nights.
After getting settled in, we went into the casino to play a little. We had fun…
This morning, we decided to go out for a ride over the bridge into Lake Charles.

We had lunch at The Steamboat Bills on the Lake….oh, was it good!
After a delicious lunch, we headed to the Historic District in Lake Charles.
Don’t know what this building but it sure is nice.

Tomorrow, Friday, we are to meet the rest of the folks that we will be traveling with. I believe there are 4 other couples. We will slowly move on towards Daytona.
