Great Salt Lake

After a busy day yesterday cleaning house, doing laundry and grocery shopping we just rested in the afternoon. 

This is what we wake up to every morning.... civilians and military exercising on the track behind our coach.

 

This bike track runs all along the fence within the base...

Today, we took a short drive to The Great Salt Lake State Park  & Marina area...

we just love the mountains....

 

 

We can see the Great Salt Lake from the FamCamp at Hill Air Force Base so we drove to get closer.

As we drove, we saw this pretty building but the gates to it are locked.  People are jumping the fence.  I guess they go to the beach area behind it. 

It kind of looks abandoned but could not find any kind of sign on it...

This sign is all that is outside the locked gates...  "Remember $5 parking....no one is there to collect so they jump the fence!

There are a bunch of spiders in the rocks.....ugh!

 

Our drive back to Ogden was awesome...

 

 

 

Tomorrow we will move on to the Moab area...
