Mining District

We rode on through the Veterans Memorial Centennial Bridge with was built in 1992 on to these small towns.  Nancy's father had a big part of the engineering of this big bridge.

On through the Fourth Of July Pass and we arrived in Wallace, Idaho.  The is known as the hub of one on the richest mining districts.  In 1860s they discovered Gold in the Coeur d' Alene Mountains. Then by the 1890s many silver mines had been discovered.  They say at least $5 Billion worth of metals were taken from these mines.  There are many mines in this district.

Mining brought many businesses to town along with gambling and bordellos.  This is a very interesting town.  The drive was awesome...
