We left mid-morning from Ogden to Moab and arrived early at Riverside Oasis RV Park...
We drove through Salt Lake City...this is a beautiful city. We toured the city about 8 years ago. At that time, we spent time with my nephew, Dr. Enrique Aleman, who is a Professor at The University of Utah....
At the time we visited with him and we had his two oldest children, Diego ( about 8) and Gema (about 5) spend the night with us in our RV. We had such a good time with them and I remember that Diego asked us if we had visited Moab (The Arches National Park) and Zion National Park. We had not visited there and he said "those are two places you must visit as they are beautiful". So, Thanks to Diego, we are here to visit the Moab area and from here, we will visit The Zion National Park. Thank you for the suggestion, Diego. We are loving it already!
The capitol building in Salt Lake City as we drove on the interstate. It looked awesome with all the mountains in the background.
The City of Salt Lake...
The mini Mount Rushmore....
There are people working the fields....wonder what they are growing here.
The Utah Salt Lake....not the Great Salt Lake.
Energy in the works here....
And through the Soldier Summit....
Looks like thunder clouds above the mountains...
Freight trains are big business in the mountains...
A coal mine...
Most flags in Utah are half staff for the killings in Aurora, Colorado. So sad!
More to come...
