Manuel has been very anxious to get home, so as soon as we checked out of the hotel, we drove to the RV Park at Nellis AFB and checked out a day early. We took off at about 11 am and drove and drove....
Our last view of Vegas. We had a great time here.
The beautiful mountains, heading towards Hoover Dam.
A view of Lake Mead...
Many many bikers on the road coming from Hoover Dam. We are headed there.
There is a lot of construction on the road to Hoover Dam....
More of Lake Mead.
Security is real tight here. All motor homes are pulled aside and inspected.
They open cargo doors and come inside the RV to check things out.
Everything is fine so we move on....
This is part of the bridge that they are building. It is a very very tall bridge.
The power plant...
This poor RVer seems to have had trouble. It looks like an old Allegro...
This is the arch they are building to brace the bridge on. More on this coming...
This is the tall bridge they are still building.
It has taken them years to get this far on construction. We passed by here 3 years ago and it was being worked on. I can honestly say that there is a lot of advancement in their project.
The crooked power towers...
The sidewalks have been improved tremendously. There is even art in the area. Note the bronze statue of the mountain climber on the right.
More nice looking art....
More bikers....
We are now leaving Nevada and crossing into Arizona.
While I am a nervous wreck (but taking a bunch of pictures), Manuel is very calm!
This is where the tall tall bridge will connect on the arch! Awesome work!
We are now in Arizona....
More of the dam area...
A lot of Cats working the Hoover Dam project.
More beautiful mountains...
A nice golf course in the desert...
This area of the desert looks kind of green...
The American flag stands proudly....God Bless the U.S.A.
A long lonely road ahead.
Looking down at a creek area .....
The Saguaro Cacti....We just saw a bunch of these in January and February.
And the Joshua Tree or Cacti....
A lonely adobe house amidst the desert...
A horse farm in the desert...
The Phoenix University Stadium....we thought this was a pro stadium.
A view of the sun setting and the moon above the mountains.
We are getting to Flying J in Eloy, AZ where we will stay and spend the night.
Beautiful sunset behind the mountains....
We are set up for the night. We will probably hit the road again early.
We will stay in touch....
