The Ozark River Valley....just beautiful!
The town of Atlus is below....
The St. Mary Church is atop this hill with a beautiful view of the Ozark River Valley.
The Church with...
the cemetery in the backyard...
The beautiful organ pipes sure are colorful....
The side alter and beautiful stained glass.
As we left the church grounds.....a look back with the cemetery in the foreground.
The nice old house across the street.
Heading back to Barling to our coach, we cross the Arkansas River. Beautiful sight of the Ozark Mountains.
As we traveled all through this area, we saw many trees down but this area north of Chaulksville was devastated by the recent tornadoes.
I had never seen anything like this. For a few miles, this is what the whole area looked like.
House after house, you can see only where the foundations are left. Cars and just a lot of mangled trees.
These poor people, left homeless and without with nothing. So sad to see this. I have never seen anything like this.
Even this church has damage but not like the homes! God Bless these people. Lives were lost here, too.
This has been another great day! Western Arkansas is just beautiful.
