We took a drive into Denver which is about 15 miles from Buckley AFB. We just drove around so here are some pics...

We have been very worried about the wild fires in Colorado. That is all that is in the news. Colorado Springs and The Air Force Academy have been evacuated as the fires are really close now. they have had winds gusting to 65 miles so the fires have just changed for the worse.... Bolder, Fort Collins, Estes Park and others have very serious fires but none is worse than the Waldo Canyon fire which is Colorado Springs. You can see the smoky skies and even smell the fires.
Last night, we had very strong winds here and even got a few sprinkles, which the people from Colorado are hoping to get more of it to help put out the fires. It is really sad to see this beautiful State burn like it is....prayers to them.
We decided that we would leave a day early from Buckley AFB in Aurora, CO and head out to Rapid City, South Dakota. Here are pictures of the last sunset here.
