Pineapple Expres & Presentation

We had a great tour on The Pineapple Express...

Then on to get a lesson on how a pineapple should be cut...

She showed us how to pick a ripe pineapple...
Big lesson:  Always rinse pineapple before eating to prevent scalding of tongue.

Gotta say:  Hawaii has the very very best pineapple!  They are the juiciest and sweetest I have ever tasted.  DELICIOUS!!!!   Great place and great tour!

Tour of the Dole Plantation

This Plantation is spectacular!  We had an awesome time here.  I just loved all the plants here.  Beautiful gardens.  Here on this plantationn, they plant bananas, coffee, cocao, mangos, papaya and
of course, pineapples.  There are many other things grown here.

I tried my luck in getting pearls and I got black pearls.
I got 2 in one shell and 1 in another of  which I made this set.

Rainbow Falls

Our next stop was at the Rainbow Falls Lookout Park.  This park is located on the Wailuku River.

We entered through the Thurston Lava Tube.  This was a 1/3 mile walk through tree fern forest and prehistoric cave-like lave tube.  This cave was discovered in 1913.
