We took our time leaving the RV Park on Monday. We decided to take the scenic route 173 back home. Beautiful Hill Country.
We took Hwy 16 from Bandera, TX. Bandera is a very busy small town.
This Hotel offers "frozen painkillers".....how about that! They also have Theme Rooms!
Before retiring, I worked with a Lady whose husband owned the Stagecoach Realty.
The Bandera Courthouse....
More of downtown Bandera....
nice stagecoach...
We could not find a place to park in downtown Bandera so we found this place "Spoiled Rotten" which we thought was perfect. It was almost if this space was reserved just for us!!!!
We walked about a block away to a restaurant on the strip....
This Radio Shack is on stilts!! The General Store is nice....
Manuel said we should have driven our scooters....oh, well, it did not take us long to get here.
The Old Spanish Trail Restaurant is a very good place to eat....Very Western!
We decided to straddle a saddle and had a good lunch....
The Buffet Wagon's food looked delicious but we decided to order from the menu.
We walk back to the Coach.....
The Restaurant patio... Back to "Spoiled Rotten"....
The Bikers are out on this hot summer day.
As we head out on Hwy 16, we see this Country Accents Antiques & Steak House.
More of the Hill Country...
There was a BIG cross on this hill.
more hills and curves....
an old farm....
The corn fields as we drive on FM 471.....
These kids ride their go cart along these cotton fields....it is so hot out!
these folks are working on a fence....too, too hot!
God Bless America!
Now we are at Rio Medina...
Rio Medina has a one-stop general store. It has a post office, hardware, grocery, and antiques. It is a nice place to visit. It is about 3 miles from our house.
The Road Home...
and we are home again.
