Friday in Driscoll

Early in the morning, we started to prepare the menu.   We cooked three roasters of carne guisada, rice, beans and made about 20 pounds of potato salad.   We worked all day but had a very nice time visiting.

We all take a break to enjoy the wonderful pastries my sister and niece brought from a Brownsville bakery...

Gil arrives, he and Eliza will marry in December.....

Roland, the groom, prepares some strawberry daiquiris for the ladies that worked so very hard!!!

We enjoyed the drinks!

Then the beautician arrived to work on the bride's hair.....

We end the evening with a game of cards.....everyone learned the game and we had a nice time!

We are all so tired so we called it a night.....tomorrow we decorate the hall in the morning and then the wedding is at 4 pm.....
