While we are attending two rallies in Houston, we had time between rallies to visit with Cousins. Sunday evening, we went to visit Tachito and Francis Trevino and their son, Gregory. He made some delicious BBQ and we had such a nice time visiting. Francis baked a chocolate cake and we had ice cream.
Tachito's dad and my mother's dad were brothers. They are both deceased now. Mom always asks and wonders what happened to them since they left Driscoll in about 1960. I now have pictures to take back to my Mother.
Francis, Anestacio (Tachito) and me.
Tachito, Francis and Manuel.
Gregory Trevino, eldest child and only son of Tachito and Francis.
I wanted to post pictures from my earlier blog posting of Tachito's sister, Dovie whom I also looked up and visited with when we visited Salem, Oregon this past fall.
This is while we were at the RV Park that Dovie and Paul own in Oregon. It's just Beautiful!
I will continue looking for family because it is so nice to find those that we have not seen in years.
Today, Monday, we said good bye to the Marlers, Helstroms and Squires. The Fosters are still here at the park. We went to AAA to pick up some Houston maps and then we took a drive to Red Oaks Ranch RV Park in Hempstead where we will have our next rally. We saw Phil and Gisele Roberts and Mark Scherback who lives close to the park was making rounds at the park. George and Janet's rig was there but they were out. We visited for a while and then came back to the Coach at Traders Village.
Tonight, we are scheduled to have dinner with my cousin/high school friend, Olga Aleman. We are looking forward to spending a little time with her. She attended Oscar's funeral last week but we did not really get to visit.
We arrived at her home at 6 pm and left her home at 10 pm. We went to have dinner at Los Cucos Mexican Restaurant at 7:30. It was a wonderful meal. She had made a dessert so we went back to her home and visited some more. Here are a few pictures....
She is in the process of taking her Christmas decorations down.
Her wall of Crosses from every country she has visited. The Christmas tree with collectables.
Looking at Manuel from her loft.....
The waiter takes our picture.
Olga and I could spend hours and hours catching up on things. She is a very special Cousin.
Tomorrow, we will move to Red Oaks Ranch RV Park . We've had a great time with family.
