An Accident at The Lackland FamCamp

We had gone out to the playground on Saturday and when we returned to the park, there were about 5 fire trucks, 6 ambulances and a bunch of police.  They were along the front of our RV so you can imagine our thoughts....

We found out that an older (90s) couple drove up, unhooked their tow car and the lady drove the MH around the circle to park.

She claimed she fell off her seat, tried to reach the brakes and instead hit the gas pedal and hit this truck & kept on going and ...

then hit this truck that was hooked up, check out the bed of the truck....

then hit this truck which was facing the trailer and turned it sideways....

and then crashed into this 5 month old Kingston 5th wheel....

She missed the Dodge truck and trailer.  The motor home was dragging the hitch.  The Military Police go to work...

The couple from the Kingston had been outside and the man had gone in and the lady was at the door going in

when she saw the MH coming at them at a high rate of speed. The lady ran in but her foot was caught in the door....

Note how the trailer is moved way off and into the next space.....

The slide had been smashed into the trailer and when the wrecker pulled it out, it was stuck.  They had a hard time pulling them apart....

Note the lady's shoe caught on the door....the steps are flatten.  Imagine the speed!!

There was a lot of commotion most of the evening until late....Those that were home when it happened

could not stop talking about the loud bangs!   The Older lady walked off but the couple in the 5th wheel were hospitalized.

The lady with a mangled foot and the man had a heart attack.....God Bless them and hope they both recover.

Hope the 90 year old couple stops driving!!  Both couples were heading to Arizona for the winter.....
