Drive to Monument Valley

Since this was a long trip, we took off at about 7:45 this morning.  It was a great scenic drive....

Manuel's GI Buddy, Ed had recommended this park when we visited him earlier on this trip...

The town of Mexican Hat is very small but the scenery that surrounds it is just beautiful.  Just look at the mountains....

We are almost at the Monument Valley which is where many Hollywood movies were made.  John Wayne made many movies here.  Parts of movies filmed here were Thelma and Louise, Forrest Gump and many more.   We can see why filming takes place here.
