El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM

After driving and touring Las Cruces, New Mexico. We had dinner at Richard and Patsy's. She cooked some stew as we traveled. It was very good.
We are parked for the night. Tomorrow, we will head out early.
Took in some sights. We had company, the Las Cruces Sheriff, insisted on following Richard. We watched him as we followed. I think he was just in a hurry to get somewhere.
This is the Plaza at Mesilla Valley Historic District in Las Cruces. They have a lot of shops around the square.
One lady told us that they were preparing to have a wedding here. They have a lot of seats set out. Nice setting for a wedding.
Sue and Mark pose in front of an art galary in Mesilla Valley. Sue is an Artist.
A restaurant on the Plaza. It was a beautiful sunny day but a little cool.
We visited this beautiful church on the plaza. It was still beautifully decorated for Christmas.

We are walking around the plaza. Many nice stores.

We ar camped at our favorite campground, Wal-Mart. We get to use our catalytic heater for the first time tonight. It is supposed to get down in the high 20's or low 30's. Thanks to Mark and Richard who helped Manuel install it on our last outing.
The guys chat and plan on what the plan is for tomorrow.
We saw big pecan orchards along the way from El Paso to Las Cruces.
We are refueling at the Flying J.
Just scenery.....

We stopped along the way this morning to have something to eat. I made some coffee, hot chocolate and Mark and Sue brought some kolaches from Slovacek's. They say some friends from that area gave them some when they visited. It was a very cool morning so the coffee warmed us up.
Richard and Patsy lead the way.
