Since the cold front came in last night, we decided to leave Rockport and head to San Antonio. We drove to Lackland AFB and here are some pictures I took along the way. At the end, you will find multiple airplanes and jets which are at the museum plaza at the entrance to Lackland. I think it is an awesome display.
We leave Lagoons RV Resort. We had a great time at this park, Richard. Thanks for the recommendation.
We are going through Sinton. Manuel and I used to play volleyball and basketball against their school.
Nice mural as a tribute to Texas Heritage.
We HAD to make a u-turn at this airport, motorhome and tow, because we saw the following sign…
We could not believe this sign…..Wife Needed…..she has to be very pretty and very catholic. This was so funny! Check out the house he lives in……
Yes, this is the house or shack….I just love the patch-work roof.
Well, he has horses or mules, a car and a pickup and an orange tree full of oranges right in front of his house.
Fancy paint job on his tailgate…..I dared not get out to take pictures, he may think I am applying! haha This was just hilarious! Hey, Mark, he does not even have to go to Walmart….as you say, you can find anything at Walmart, even a wife.
Jourdanton County Courthouse. Nice architecture….
Nice drive through Highway 16 from Pleasanton to San Antonio. Beautiful oak trees.
Poteet is considered the Strawberry Capital of Texas. They have a huge strawberry festival in April.
Not a clear picture, but I like their strawberry water tower.
We arrive at Lackland. They have a nice RV Park.
Check out this guys tow! It matches the motorhome. Beautiful truck, huh?!
Larissa, Arianna and I decided to leave Manuel behind and we headed to the library to check out some books and movies. We saw this beautiful MCI bus belonging to the USAF Band, Tops in Blue.
Here is their 18 wheeler where they carry the instruments. Beautiful rigs…..
A crew of Soldiers…..
We arrive at the library and Arianna finds the most comfortable chair, a rocker.
They both search for the books they want and pose for grandma.
They sit to make sure what they got is what they really want….
Lari has made her choice while Arianna is still trying to decide.
We drive around the Airplane Museum Plaza. I wish I knew names of these planes but I do not. Manuel knows a lot of them but he is busy watching a movie. He later went to the library to check out his own movies since they are free.
We are back at the RV. I made dinner and then begin to post all the pictures. I had taken 350 pictures!!!!
