Headed to Victoria, Texas

Manuel decided that we should leave San Antonio and head out to Victoria.  We had planned to leave on Wednesday but we headed out Tuesday afternoon at about 4:30.   Bad weather was predicted for Wednesday.  As we are about half way there, the sky sure looks dark, and yes it began to rain.

We drive through Cuero and Richard has asked us to call him when we arrive here.   Mark and Sue Didelot, http://didelottravels.typepad.com are parked in his driveway and this will give them time to move before we drive in.

Just as we arrive at Richard and Patsy, http://kingrl.blogspot.com Mark and Sue are driving out.  They went to park over at Patsy’s sister’s property.

We all gather later at The Kings’ house and have a nice visit.  Thank you, Richard and Patsy for holding our reservations on your property.   We have 50 amps and water hookups.  The price is great, too.

We went to Olive Garden to have dinner.   It has been really nice meeting up with these two couples once again.   We have such a great time together!

Since we are hosting The Lone Star Allegro Rally along with The Kings this weekend, we planned out our day last night.   First thing we did this morning was head out to this wonderful bakery to order pastries for the Sunday continental breakfast.  We then purchased all the groceries we needed from HEB, Sam’s and Wal-Mart.   We did good a job staying within the budget allowed for this gathering.   I believe we have about 7-9 couples attending.  We are looking forward to this rally.

We came back home and had lunch then the guys sit out to visit some more.

Tonight, Sue and I will join Patsy at one of her Bunco gatherings. They needed some subs, so we were invited. I told Patsy I have not played Bunco since I was young and played with a bunch of old ladies. Now I am an old lady and don’t really remember how the game is played but will give it a try anyway. We will have fun!
