We had a nice welcoming sign as we arrived at the campground.
The Brinlees arrived just before us....
Srutka & Brinlee Coaches...
There are 11 rigs here already. Reg and Cecilia are in Little Rock and won't be in until tomorrow.
We gathered at about 5 pm at the clubhouse...food was great. Bobbie Bussell gives us all a lot of information since they visit twice a year.
Just as we were leaving the clubhouse, one of the ladies from the office came and told us there was a tornado warning and that the shelter was open for anyone that wanted to go there.
Manuel watched the local weather news. We got a call from Janet. She told us her daughter had just called her that a tornado had hit about 20 miles from us. Then we got a call from Mark Didelot and he told us, "You better get out of there" so I decided we were going to the shelter! They announced that Taney County folks needed to go to shelter if they could so we did! There were about 10 people there.
The blonde lady is the owner and she is getting reports from her husband who is upstairs watching the weather closely.
This gentleman has a crank radio so we are able to hear what is going on. At about 8:50, the husband came and told us that it was clear. He went out and said he could see the sun setting.... We were in the shelter about 1 hour.
He was right....check out this beautiful sunset!
Thank you, Jesus for keeping us safe! We had a great day!
