Left home at 8:30 this morning. We drove and drove. Manuel wanted to make it to Shreveport but finally gave up and we stopped in Jacksonville, TX. Here are some pictures I took along the way....the weather was cold (low 50s) and misty at times. Enjoyed a beautiful ride....
This old church is now a Florist....Neat!
As we were driving, we got a call from Sue Didelot. They left Abilene and are headed to Birmingham, AL. They got called to work for an insurance company. I am sure there will be plenty of work there after all the devastation. They had planned to come to San Marcos and wanted to meet with us but we had our trip planned already.
About an hour later, Mark called and said they had just seen us pass by in Hearne, TX. We crossed paths as they were probably on Hwy 6 and we were on 79. They saw us but we did not see them...Wow! You never know who you will cross paths with, huh?!! Nice talking to you both, Mark & Sue. Good luck to you both.
As you can see the weather got worse so we decided to dry camp at Wal-Mart. Will get a good night sleep then drive about 60 miles to Shreveport for a couple of days....been watching the weather and it does not look too good in the Tennessee area....good excuse to stop at the Diamond Jack Casino RV Park, Huh??!!
Look at this! Wal-Mart is right off LARISSA St. Look, Lari!
A nice mural on a building...
Until tomorrow!
