After visiting with Liza and Arnold, we met up with Mark and Sue, whom had also gone to visit family members living here in Austin. We decided to take a ride to Bastrop which is about 8 miles away. We found Bastrop to be very historic. This is the River Walk Area on the Colorado River.
They have very old buildings, farm equipment and other antiques just laying around.
There are old, old homes which look like they need some tender loving care.
More of the Colorado River on the River Walk.
Old cars, gas pumps, etc.
The boat is on top of the roof…This used to be the Yacht Club.
The man-made water fall……
This old State Bank is now the Visitors Center. Really nice.
Manuel signs in at the Visitors center. Really nice old bank.
Neat sign at the bank…. Old beautiful buildings adorn the downtown area.
The Richard Family Bakery and Creamery. They had some nice cakes on display.
Another old building.
An old church. We walk the downtown area.
They patiently wait for me to go take my pictures….. Thanks, Guys!
