We traveled today to Junction and will spend the night here. Below you will see scenery pictures taken from Fort Davis to Junction. The terrain sure changes…..
I did not find too many things to take pictures of so we just listened to our Tejano Music. Los Electros accompanied us through much of our 2 month trip. For those of you who do not know who Los Electros are, they are a band formed by my brother-in-law, Ramiro Garcia of Driscoll, Texas. My only brother, Jesse Aleman, sings with the group. Ramiro’s brother, Toby plays the drums and a guy called “Blood” (I don’t know his first name; last name is Fara) also sings and plays a guitar. They call him Blood because he says he is everyone’s blood brother. Los Electros have great music and they kept us company when the road got lonely.
These are still the Davis Mountains…..they are beautiful.
This is a pond….only got the end of it. It was a big ranch.
We are enroute to Fort Stockton…..big change in the mountains.
This is the little town of Balmorhea. We just drove thru it.
I posted some of these on our way to Arizona…..this is coming back.
Texas land is rich in oil and energy producing windmills which are in the background.
The mountains have now become hills…..we are now in the hill country.
The Flag proudly flies atop this hill!
This 18 wheeler passed us…Big Bear Choppers from Big Bear Lake, California. Neat!
We begin to appreciate the live oak trees. I wonder how many leaves we have at home from the many many live oak trees we have. We have a big job ahead of us once we get home……
Love the rivers since we barely saw any in Arizona. Actually, we did not see any!
Nice farm at the foothills of the Hill Country.
Another river….
We see this nice bridge as we arrive in Junction.
Another bridge in Junction as we go into town. This one is under construction and is a one laner.
As we wait for bridge traffic to pass, we spot these deer in town. Aren’t they beautiful?!
This is the Llano River. Nice!
Downtown Junction. Pretty quite at this time in the evening.
More of the town.
Tomorrow morning we will head out to Dripping Springs and we will stay there a day or two. We will then head to the Lone Star Allegro Club Rally for the weekend. This will be in Cut N Shoot, Texas which is by Conroe. We should be home by Monday or Tuesday.
