We started our morning with a tour on the Strasburg Rail.
Oops! Hands on the hips....what does that mean??
We chose the open car for picture taking.... We are set to go.
Our Engineer is a pretty young Lady.
The coal used for the steam engine.
We passed The President's Car....
The Conductor.....
We are on our way...
This guy keeps an eye on the people in the maze.
The flags are people going thru the maze....
The corn, tobacco, and alfalfa on this farm.
This is a school house and the kids on the street are running towards their homes for lunch.
Some are walking towards the railroad to cross to their homes.
A lot of these kids walk around bare footed.
They wait for the train to pass. They are so cute!
This young girl cleans her yard and the street.
We get to our destination and wait for the engine to unhook....
The engine goes to the other end of the train for our ride back...
As we wait, I noticed some berries on the side of the railroad.
We are on our way back.... A picnic area.
We are having a great time on this train ride. Check out The Lambes' blog at http://lambetravels.blogspot.com
Enjoying the views....
That is a long long clothes lines.
Waiting for another train to come up a curb....
The other trains Engineer.
The Coal man and the Engineer....
Off we go and off they go.
We all wave to each other.....
Back thru Cherry Crest Adventure Farm....
I saw some pumpkins in the fields....
A young boy on his bike follows traffic....
And now we see the children trying to cross the tracks back to school. They are riding these neat bikes.
We have arrived back at the depot.
Larissa and Arianna would love to be here... Inside the buggy.
The dashboard.
They have a very small train, too. The Cagney miniature locomotive which used coal to operate.
Young and old ride on this mini train.
This young man sat with George and Janet for a good while and visited. He works here on his days off and is a 1st grade school teacher full time.
We see him again later and as we were taking pictures, he offered to be in a picture with us.
We enjoyed this tour a lot.
The Steamboat Motel....
