We drove about 200 miles from Wausau, WI to Savage, which is right outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Yesterday, we spend all day between Freightliner and Kenwood since we had been having trouble with the Coach picking up speed on hills and these were small hills. Manuel worked on several things and even changed some of the filters out and it did not make much difference. We decided to take it in and it took us all day waiting around and finally the problem was solved. It was a fuel filter. We had also been having trouble with the airbags and after calling Tiffin, decided to bring it in to another freightliner place that Dave Hasselberg, whom we met in Quartzsite a couple of years ago and have kept in touch with him and Sandy via blogs and emails. Dave even called the dealer and set us up an appointment which was very convenient for us. We are so thankful for everything Dave has done for us.
Here are some pictures of our drive through Wisconsin and in to Minnesota. Several rivers and many farms are along this route. Enjoyed the scenery....
We are crossing the Mississippi River into Minnesota.
Minnesota Stateline.....
After driving a few miles into Minnesota, we part ways with George and Janet.
They head to the Mystic Lake Casino Campground and we head to the Boyer Trucks Garage.
I think this was the Minnesota River.... Minnesota is known as the State with 10,000 Lakes.
We arrived and Dave was already waiting for us here.
He and Manuel went in to speak to the Service man and they head back to the Coach .... looking a little down!
That is better, guys! Heads up!
After they took our info they told us they were having a shift change at 3:30 pm so they would look at the Coach then.
We had an hour and a half of waiting so we drove over to the Mystic Lake Casino to see The Lambes.
Check out their blog at http://lambetravels.blogspot.com
Pictures of the casino grounds.....really nice here.
We should be parked next to them if we get to leave the shop....
Both, The Lambes and The Hasselbergs, offered us their homes if we have to leave the coach in all night.
We even thought the Teepees would be a good place to sleep if they would have a heater in there...They rent these out.
We all decided to go to the Casino to have dinner. We enjoyed everyone's company while we ate.
Then it was back to Boyer's to check and see if they found out what the problem was....
The Mechanic gives his diagnosis.....the leveling valve part needs to be replaced and they will order the part for a mid-morning delivery.
Dave and Sandy had convinced us to go stay with them but then the mechanic told us he would pull the coach out of the garage since he is waiting for the part to come in.
We thanked Dave and Sandy for all they have done and they headed home. We parked in the parking lot, the mechanic ran a 15 amp extension and we are set for the night.
We will see what tomorrow brings.....Good night!
